Baka Onii-San 2

“You sure you got it?”
“Hm!” Meko hummed loudly as she ran her thumbs under the straps of her backpack. “I got it!”
“…”
Naruto could feel someone’s gaze at him. Looking over his shoulder he found Kakashi standing near the entrance of the tent.
“What are you looking at?” He asked annoyed.
Kakashi closed his eyes and smiled.
“A mamma bird and her chick.”
Naruto blushed deeply and twitched.
“Sh-shut up…”
With his eyes locked to the ground, he got a hold of Meko’s hand and walked past Kakashi and out of the tent. Kakashi opened his eyes and stood there a while recalling the meeting he had with Tsunade.

--- ( Last night)

“Naruto can not raise this kid alone.”
Tsunade had begun explaining to the team while Naruto was out tucking Meko into bed in another tent. “Not only because he has no experience with kids, but because his own childhood prevented him from experiencing one himself.”
Sakura looked up confusingly at Tsunade.
“What do you mean?”
Tsunade sighed. Should she tell them? …no Naruto was the one who needed to explain to them about the nine-tails. But she could at least say this much-
“Naruto’s parents died when he was baby and pretty much grew up fending for himself.”
Sakura and Sasuke were a little taken aback. They had no idea…
“Keeping that in mind” Tsunade continued “He has no references to relate with on how to raise a child. Not even from his own past.”

Both the young Genin looked at the ground avoiding eye contact. To of never have parents…Sakura thought to herself. Sure she ALWAYS wished she could get away from hers…but for them to never of existed? …no wonder Naruto eats shit like ramen. Sasuke too was having similar thoughts. Only he was having a harder time figuring out if never having parents was worse then having them, then your older brother killing them…and the entire clan…nope Sasuke’s situation was worse. At least Naruto never felt the pain of loosing loved ones.

“Which is why-“ Tsunade voice brought them back to the point at hand “She is going to be all of your guys responsibility.”
Sakura jolted her head up and her eyes sparkled.
“So you mean we’re gonna take turns keeping care of her and taking her home with us?”
Something about having a little sister seemed to of sparked something within her. How cool would it be to have a little sister?!
“No. Not unless Meko says she wants to. Which I doubt she’ll do, since Naruto was the one who saved her and feels the safest around him.”
Welp, there went all of Sakura’s hopes and dreams.
“Then what can we do?” Sasuke asked not really sure where Tsunade was going with this.

“As stated Naruto is not gonna be able to handle her on his own. Maybe he’ll need help learning how to cook balanced meals, get parental advise, or simply just need someone else around to help out.” She then glanced at the neighboring woods “That and also keeping an eye out for anyone else who’ll try to come after her.” She then turned looking them all dead in the eyes. “Meko is very important, we can not afford to loose her.”
“Tsunade” Sakura asked a little hesitantly “Who is she?”
“…” Tsunade inter twined her fingers and placed them under her chin “She’s-“

“Ka-Ka-Sama!”
Kakashi snapped out of his thoughts and looked down at the girl tugging on his pant leg. “It’s time to go!”
“…Ka-Ka?”
Meko ignored him and began pulling on his pants.
“Come oooon!! Un!”
Kakashi blew air through his noise and smiled as he crowed down and picked her up in his arms.
“Bossy little one, aren’t we?”
Meko merely chuckled as Kakashi took her outside to meet up with the others.

Oh thank god!! Sakura cried inside her head. It’s over!!
“Again again!!”
Meko cheered as she jumped up and down excitingly.
“Nooo!”
Everyone then stopped to stair at Sakura who then chuckled nervously.
“We’ve, uh, been singing that song for quite awhile…”
Meko’s eyes began to water and her lip trimbled.
“You…you don’t want us to sing anymore?”
…DAMN IT!! She couldn't resist this cuteness!!!
“No well, uh, what I mean is, uh, you see-“
“Do you know any other songs Meko?”
Kakashi kindly asked covering up for Sakura’s little hiccup. Meko then placed her index finger on her lip and glanced down and pondered. Sakura did an inner squeal. Why was every little thing Meko did so fucking adorable?

“…Down by the banks of the hankany banks, where the bull frogs jump from bank to bank, with an eep ipe ope oop, he's off the lilly with a bigger flop!”
Meko then clapped her hands at the end indicating the flop sound.
“…I thought that was a song for a hand clapping game.”
Now everyone’s eyes were on Sasuke.
“Sasuke…you know this song?”
Kakashi smirked as he saw Sasuke avoid eye contact.
“Something I heard as a kid…”
Meko smiled and went over to cling onto Sasuke’s leg.
“Ni ni, Sasuke-onii-san what songs do you know?”
Sasuke’s hands were trembling and Naruto leaned in juuust far enough to see it. Sasuke was in fact blushing. Naruto smirked. Guess Meko’s cuteness even worked on cold hearted bastereds.
“Yes Sasuke, what songs do you know?”
Sasuke was putting all his hate into the glair he was giving Kakashi. “I don’t know any others. Sides we should get moving.” and with that walked ahead of the others.
“…was it something I said?”
Meko asked Naruto worryingly as she grabbed Naruto’s hand.
“Hm? Oh nah, he’s always been a selfish cold hearted prick.”
Meko then looked ahead and watched Sasuke. He was…odd. Why didn’t Sasuke-onii-san ever smile?

“Okay gang, let’s set up camp here!”
Everyone sighed and started unloading their bags off their backs.
“Need help Meko-Chan?”
Meko puffed her checks and pouted at Sakura’s offering hand.
“I’m not THAT young! I’m a big girl and I can handle this myself!”
Sakura twitched. Little brat…
Meko then noticed Naruto heading into the woods and panicked.
“Naru-onii-san!!”
Naruto stopped, then glanced back to find Meko lung onto his leg.
“Don’t leave me!!”
“Hey hey” Naruto crowed down and petted her head. “I’m just going to get some fire wood, that’s all.”
“…then so am I!!”
Meko then hopped off and started marching ahead. Naruto blinked a few times, then chased after her.
“Hey! Wait up! You can’t go in there all by your self!!”
Kakashi chuckled as he watch the two go into the forest.

“…I thought you were gonna help me get fire wood.”
Naruto teased as he picked up a few branches. Meko didn’t budge though. She continued picking flowers.
“…do you think he’ll like them?”
Naruto picked up the last near by branch to walk over to see what she was talking about.
“The flowers? Uh, I guess Kakashi would like them.”
“No!” Meko then violently shacking her head. “I mean for Sasuke-onii-san!!”
“Eeeeh!?!?” Naruto raised his hands up dropping all the wood. “Why on earth would you wanna give something to that teme!?!”
Meko then looked down at the flowers and fiddled with one of the petals.
“I wanted to make Sasuke-onii-san smile.”
Naruto lowered his arms and just stared at her. She looked so…sad.
“Mommy…mommy said that when you see another person down you should always try to cheer them up.” She then looked up at Naruto. “Everybody likes flowers…right?”
…Sasuke didn’t deserve her cuteness.
“Of course.” Naruto smiled.
“Ah.” Meko smiled happily before hopping up and skipping over, taking Naruto’s hand. “Hurry! We need to give these to him!!”
“Hang on, I need to get the fire wood.”
Naruto then began picking up the wood. Damn teme BETTER like those flowers…or else…

“Ta da!!”
Meko cheered happily as she lifted her hands full of flowers up towards Sasuke’s face. Sasuke just sat there, blinking owlishly. Meko frowned and tried again.
“TA DA!!”
She then shook them like a cheerleaders pon pon. Sasuke shook his head, snapping him out of spacing out like a space cadet and took the flowers.
“Uh, thanks…I guess.”
I GUESS!?!? Naruto practically yelled in his head. But Meko didn’t seem to mind. She smiled. “Good cause me and Naru-onii-san picked those out!”
Naruto blushed. He did no such thing!!! Sasuke smirked devilishly as he turned to look at Naruto.
“Oh reeeeaaly?”
Naruto gritted his teeth. Ooooh how he HATED this guy.
