Hidden Leaf continued 7

“So do we actually have a plan here or what?” Sai commented as he unfolded some sheets Neji had given him. Naruto flopped onto one of the guest beds resting his thumb and index fingers under his chin while pondering.
“Well we’re in the right place. If Shika’s hunch is right then this is where all of the action’s gonna be.”

“…What hunch?”
There was an awkward silence. Naruto gulped. He had completely neglected telling Sasuke the whole reason why they were there.
“Well huh, ye see… uh-“ Sasuke crossed his arms looking at him impatiently as he began tapping his foot. “There’s maybe a SLIGHT chance-“
“The Akatsuki gangs making deals with the Hyuuga’s.” Naruto jerked his head towards Sai. NOT HELPING!!!!
“WHAT!?!” Sasuke was about to blow a gasket. “You were SERIOUSLY gonna go after the Akatsuki gang, WITHOUT ME!?!”
“Heh heh now Sasuke, h-hear me out-“
“IMMA FUCKING KILL YOU!!!” Sasuke then lunged at Naruto on the bed, straddling him at the waist and proceeded to choke him. Sai on the other hand merely sat himself on the bed next to Naruto’s and started chewing on the chewy bar he had brought from the plain ride. “WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING!?!”

“That you were gonna kill me?”
“I’M KILLING YOU RIGHT NOW!!”
“In all fairness-“ Sai intervened “You told him not to get help from Shikamaru, had he told you that he went behind your back, and did so anyways, you would of just killed him then. …and that would have been a mess.” Sasuke paused then frowned. Though Sai was correct, it still didn’t change the fact he was pissed off at Naruto.

“Not that I’m against trying new sexual things, but I don’t think choking is going to be one of them.” Sasuke twitched before letting go and smacking Naruto harshly on the head. “Nor S&M!”
“Aw.” Sai whined.
“Can it you sick freak!” Sasuke yelled as he pointed at Sai “This does not involve you!”
“On the contraire I find that it does… who’s sleeping with who?”

It was then that it occurred to them that there were only two guest beds. One in which was going to have to be shared. This of course annoyed Sasuke even more because he KNEW Neji had more guest rooms, so the fact he assigned them to this one was intentionally done just to piss him off.
“That son of a bitch…”
And it was working.

“Seeing’s how you were choking Naruto mere moments ago, I think it be best to insure Naruto’s safety by having him sleep with me tonight.”
“Like hell he’d be safer with you!”
“Unlike you I haven’t hit him once.”
“You’ve been hitting ON him ever since we were at the airport!”
“ENOUGH!” both boys stopped as they turned to face the pissed off Naruto “God! You guys are acting like a bunch of tweens!” His frown then deepened. “From this moment on we are going to need to get along.”
“Seriously?”
“And how are we supposed to do that?”
How indeed. … Naruto then smirked devilishly as an idea popped into his head.

“I hate you.”
“I hate you too~”
Sasuke groaned and pulled more of the comforter only to have had it pulled back. He could not believe Naruto had actually forced both him and Sai to share a bed. He couldn’t even stand him.
“Stop hogging the damn blanket.”
“Make me.”
“Why I odda-“
“Hey!” Naruto snapped up to glair at the two miss behaved boys “If you guys are gonna talk, talk about things that won’t end with you two killing each other!”
There was silence. Content Naruto then leaned back down covered himself up and tried going back to sleep.

“… you know there is something I’ve been meaning to ask you.”
“Hm?”
“I noticed you kept the key for your anklet around your neck but… using key the to take it off doesn’t turn it off. If the anklet stays off for too long or leaves the station it gives off an alarm. How did you pull it off?”
Sai chuckled at Sasuke’s observation.
“Let’s just say… I left in ‘good hands’ …”

--- (meanwhile at the police station)

“Gee Kiba I knew you wanted to get out of being an under cover pizza guy but to go this far…”
Kiba growled at the naïve cop before him.
“I don’t care how many rules I break.” He then glared at the anklet locked onto his wrist “That art thief’s gonna pay…”
